We’re hiring: Part-Time Social Media & Content Coordinator

Wildelore is looking for someone with a strong creative eye and a genuine understanding of brand, storytelling and social media to help us thoughtfully manage our social presence as we head into fall.

This is a very part-time, flexible, remote role — approximately 1–2 hours per week to start, with the potential for additional hours as the role evolves. Must be Canadian.

We already have a large library of beautiful photography, video and creator content to work with, so you will not be expected to create content from scratch. However, an interest or ability in creating supplementary, on-brand content is an asset.

If you have experience creating high-quality video, Reels, photography or other original content, there is room for the hours and scope of this role to grow to encompass more content creation as well.

The baseline expectation is at least 2 thoughtful feed posts or Reels per week, along with regular Instagram Stories. Beyond that, the role may include:

  • Working creatively with our existing photography, video, UGC and creator content

  • Writing and refining captions in the Wildelore voice

  • Editing simple Reels and short-form content from existing footage

  • Maintaining a simple and flexible content calendar

  • Engaging thoughtfully with our community where appropriate

  • Identifying aligned creators, brands and accounts for potential collaborations or giveaways

  • Helping coordinate occasional social collaborations and giveaways

  • Spotting beautiful customer and creator content that Wildelore could share

  • Keeping a simple record of social performance so we can understand what content is resonating and, where possible, whether or not it is contributing to traffic and sales

More than anything, we are looking for someone who can really understand Wildelore.

Our voice. Our visual world. Our mission. The mothers we speak to. The relationship between motherhood and the outdoors. The difference between content that simply fills a space on Instagram and content that actually feels like us.

We'd love to find someone with:

  • A strong visual and aesthetic sensibility

  • An instinct for beautiful, thoughtful storytelling

  • A natural understanding of Instagram, Reels and Stories

  • Strong writing instincts and an ability to learn and maintain an established brand voice

  • The ability to look at a library of existing content and see possibilities within it

  • Initiative — someone who notices opportunities, brings forward ideas and doesn't need every post mapped out for them

  • An interest in motherhood, nature, outdoor family life and the world Wildelore is building

  • A desire to think not only about what we should post this week, but about how Wildelore's content and creative direction could evolve over time

Content creation experience is a bonus, but not a requirement.

If you love filming and editing beautiful Reels, photography, visual storytelling or creating original social content, please tell us. For the right person, we'd be excited to explore expanding the role and paid hours to include more original content creation.

Local to Nelson, BC is also a bonus, but not required.

For someone local with content creation skills, there could be opportunities to occasionally capture founder, family, lifestyle and product content in person.

This could be a great fit for a parent, freelancer, creative or social-media-savvy person looking for a small amount of meaningful, flexible work each week.

The role is intentionally small to begin with. We're less interested in finding someone to simply “keep Instagram going” and more interested in finding someone who gets Wildelore, has excellent taste, and is excited to help us tell our story well.

This is our baseline starting point, but there is absolutely opportunity for the role, responsibilities and paid hours to grow with the right person.
